How'd this 3rd year happen?
As always, the Hotties of Harm Reduction is a community effort and this year many people worked to make this project a success. More than 40 people were involved in the creation of the calendar this year. We are all volunteers and we work collectively. Almost all of the models and staff actually work in harm reduction and ALL of us believe very strongly in the fundamental necessity of more humane drug laws, more rational drug policies and the work of our brothers and sisters trying to reduce the harm caused by drugs in our communities and lives. We come from many walks of life and represent the entire continuum of drug use from naïve abstinence to active users to people in recovery. We are researchers, sex workers, case managers, executive directors, artists, social workers, professors, drug dealers, counselors, faeries, lawyers, health care workers, students, professional computer geeks, scientists, subversives, anarchists, body workers, musicians and activists (and no, we will not tell you who is who).

In addition to the individual efforts of the people staffing and modeling for the calendar we would like to thank the following for their support:
- Design Action (and especially Nadia Kastigar), our designer
- Inkworks Press, our printer. Both have worked with us for the past three years in order to make the project a success.
As always we are also grateful to our allies in the larger harm reduction community, most especially:
- Berkeley Free Clinic
- Common Sense for Drug Policy
- Drug Policy Alliance
- Harm Reduction Coalition
- North American Syringe Exchange Network
- St. James Infirmary
And finally a very special thanks to this year’s Major Hotties!
In solidarity,
The Hotties of Harm Reduction
